Privacy Policy

RedCurtain is a theatre log that keeps your data on your own devices. There is no RedCurtain account, no advertising, and no tracking.
Who we are
RedCurtain is made by NeonTanuki Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17138911), at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. For anything in this policy, write to hello@redcurtain.app.
What RedCurtain stores
Everything you log: the shows you have seen or booked, the theatres, dates and times, seats, ticket prices and where you bought them, who you went with, your ratings and notes, and any photographs of tickets or programmes you add.
This is stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, it is mirrored to your own iCloud account so your other devices can read it. It is your iCloud, not ours, and Apple's terms govern it. We cannot see the contents.
No account, no sign-up
RedCurtain has no login. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number, and we hold no user records of any kind.
Scanning tickets, programmes, and marquees
When you scan a ticket or programme, or photograph a theatre marquee, the image is read on your iPhone using Apple Intelligence. The photograph is not uploaded and is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Show and theatre information
The catalogue of shows and theatres is curated by us. Looking up a show sends the search terms needed to answer the query and nothing about your log with it. Queries are not tied to you or to your device.
Cast recordings
Matching a musical in your log to a cast recording uses the Apple Music catalogue. Playing a recording is handled by Apple Music under Apple's own privacy policy. RedCurtain does not need an Apple Music subscription to show you the match.
Siri
If you use Siri to ask about your log or to add a show, that request is handled by Siri under Apple's privacy policy, and the answer is drawn from the log already on your device.
Analytics and tracking
There is none. No advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics, no behavioural profiling, and nothing sold or shared with data brokers. If you opt in to sharing crash and usage data with developers in your iOS settings, Apple may pass us aggregate diagnostics; those contain nothing you have logged.
Your rights
Because your log stays with you, you exercise most of your rights directly: edit or delete any entry in the app, export your log, or delete the app to remove everything on the device. Turning off iCloud sync and deleting the app's iCloud data removes the synced copy. For the formal position under UK and EU data protection law, see the GDPR page.
Children
RedCurtain is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. As nothing is collected from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete on request.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be flagged in the app.
